Nice to meet you

Welcome to my new-and-just-re-designed blog. There are a few things you might want to know about me and they are all hiding somewhere around here. Or maybe you know me already, then you can just come here every once in a while to see if there’s anything new. I will post some blurbs in English (and some others in Italian) about myself, my life, my music, New York City, my wife and my cats.

On the A train

Riding the A train on my way back from JFK. Even if I hate to admit it, I love airports and I like to spend time there when I’m not leaving. It’s like a second home to me. But now I’m sitting on a train in NYC, earphones on and music going. That’s when my iPod plays a live recording from my very last concert with Hartmann in Altusried, August 16th, 2012. My mind starts overflowing with memories.
I’ve lived such a great life so far and I met so many awesome people I will always be grateful.
And there I am, a grown up Italian kid that can’t speak a word of German, pounding my drumkit and sharing stage with three of the most amazing musicians I’ve ever worked with. We are all seven years and many shows older, and the energy that was pulling us together at the very first rehearsal is now channelled in one tight and groovy direction. The setlist flows song after song, our voices are on the edge and our limbs sore from hours of driving, but you can’t really hear it in the tracks. All you hear is four friends having a lot of fun and celebrating their last gig with me the best way possible.
